EMDR intensive sessions offer a more accelerated therapeutic approach, enabling you to achieve significant healing in a shorter time frame compared to traditional methods.
What to Expect
An EMDR Intensive at The Nest feels like a mini-retreat packed into one day (or two shorter sessions).
After a brief phone consult and some emailed forms, you arrive to a calming space where we start with grounding and a clear, personalized intake that pinpoints your target memory and installs coping resources.
Once you're comfortable with the bilateral eye movements or hand-taps, we dive into an extended 2-3-hour EMDR reprocessing block—moving through short sets, pausing for mini-breaks, snacks, and stretches as needed—so the memory can lose its emotional charge and new, healthy beliefs can take root.
If you choose our holistic option, gentle movement therapy and a creative art session help your body and brain integrate the shift.
We finish with a thorough debrief, self-care plan, and written toolkit, then reconnect one to two weeks later for a follow-up session to reinforce your gains and plan next steps.
